Volgren Optimus
Volgren Optimus is a bus body offered by Volgren since 2012. It replaced the Volgren CR228L as Volgren's primary bus body for low floor or entry chassis.
Exterior design
The Optimus contains a significantly redesigned front and rear end, featuring a more rounded shape compared to the outgoing CR228L.
An updated Optimus since 2024 can be identified by more circular headlights.
Interior and passenger amenities
The same interior present on later model CR228Ls was carried over for the Optimus, although builds after early batches have a secondary BUS STOPPING light located in the same position as earlier CR228Ls alongside the primary one. Passenger information screens from Consat can be optioned, which are placed in front of the main BUS STOPPING light. Air conditioning options included units from Coachair and Spheros.
