This category lists all Western Digital drives that are members of the WD Marvell family Palmer. Palmer takes the HDA of the Hubble LT family and increases the density to 1 TB per platter by employing SMR. It succeeds the BigBear and FBLite families, reducing the platters for the 1 TB model from two to one.
It is one of a handful of Marvell families to contain a HGST branded unit, namely the HGST HTS541010B7E610. Palmer therefore succeeds the previous generation HGST family Seahawk.
