This category lists all Western Digital drives that are members of the WD Marvell family Hawk. Hawk succeeds the previous Eagle family, and was one of the first Marvell families to succeed the previous Caviar architecture, bringing with it a smaller PCB. Starling is identical to Hawk in most respects, but does use the older PATA standard. Like many early Marvell drives, Hawk could use either older black lids or newer silver ones.
