The Cavbus Group began as a two bus operation in Kempsey on the New South Wales Mid North Coast in 1953. Clyde Cavanagh founded this family-owned and proudly Australian company.  2001 marked the growth and expansion into Queensland with the acquisition of Logan Coaches and Beaudesert Bus Services. Glasshouse Country Coaches joined the group in 2007 after the Cavanagh's family was sold the operation from Jimmy Hill.

As of 2025 Glasshouse Country Coaches operates 18 school bus routes under the TransLink banner and 2 urban routes being the 890 and 891 servicing rail stations on Queensland Rail's Sunshine Coast railway line to Melany from Landsborough and Nambour. Other operations from this company include their strong and reliable charter operations and the Australia Zoo shuttles using vehicle 46.
