This category lists all Western Digital drives that are members of the WD Marvell family Hawk. Hawk succeeds the previous Pioneer V, increasing the density to 80 - 83.3 GB per platter. Hawk was only available on SATA drives; Starling is identical to Hawk in most respects, but does use the older PATA standard. Like many early Marvell drives, Hawk could use either older black lids or newer silver ones.
