This category lists all Western Digital drives that are members of the WD Marvell family Sequoia PMR. Compared to vanilla Sequoia, this family has newer labels, rather than the doughnut labels that Sequoia has that were first introduced on the much earlier Hawk and Starling families. These would set the standard label style to be used by all succeeding drives. They also sport a new MCU with integrated cache RAM, the Marvell 88i8845D-BHG2, replacing the 88i8745-TFJ1 MCU used on Sequoia and Tornado PCBs that was affected by "head mimic" faults. Sequoia PMR's two immediate successor families, STG Twin Lakes and Pinnacle, carried this same MCU and integrated cache RAM, before Pinclite once again separated them.
