This category lists all Western Digital drives that are members of the WD Marvell family Pinclite (short for Pinnacle Lite). Pinclite introduces a new R/N identical to the much rarer Midori, and a new spindle motor that also sounds similar. Internally, a new MCU is used, the 88i8846-TFJ2, once again separating cache RAM from the MCU.
