Australian Enthusiasts Wiki allows editors who are confirmed to upload files. However, strict rules govern what may and may not be uploaded.

Copyright

  • Do not upload copyrighted media without permission from the author or without following free license rules (if applicable). Do not upload copyrighted material or screenshots of it without the author's permission. The author must confirm via email via Freosan Studios' contact form that they agree to license the image under one of our free licenses. If the file happens to already be licensed under a free license, you must follow all of its conditions, such as correct attribution. Failure to respect copyright will result in the offending files being deleted to prevent copryight problems.
  • If you are the author, you agree to release it under either the CC BY 4.0, CC BY SA 4.0 or other free license. By uploading a file here, you agree to license it under an available license. To confirm this, you must chose a license from the selection allowed on the upload form. You agree that whatever license you choose is irrevocable. Failure to license your uploads properly will result in your file being deleted!

Off-topic media

  • Off-topic media will be deleted if orphaned. You must tag off-topic images with {{Off-topic}}; any such images that aren't may be speedily deleted. Any orphaned images that use this template may also be deleted after seven days.
  • No excessive off-topic media uploads: A maximum of ten off-topic uploads per person per year is allowed. Breaching this limit may result in removal of uploading or even editing privileges. Files from Wikimedia Commons are not included in this quota however, as they are not stored on our servers.

Banned media

On Australian Enthusiasts Wiki, we take file safety seriously. The following banned media will be immediately removed.

  • Content that is illegal under Australian law. This includes pirated software and child pornography.
  • Shock or pornographic media. Regardless of legal status, these types of material is banned on this wiki.
  • File downloads that are damaging to downloaded computers. Do not upload files that contain viruses. This is also a Terms of Use violation.
